Longarm Quilting Process:
1. Fill out the “Book Your Quilt” Form.
Please feel free to ask questions in the message section.
2. Prepare your Quilt.
Please press your top and backing for me so that it's nice and tidy and ready for me to load. Please also clip stray threads or raveling fabrics as best as you can. You might not be able to get them all, but to prevent dark threads shadowing through your quilt top this is an important step!
If your quilt top does not have borders, please sew a “stay stitch” about 1/8” from the edge of the quilt to keep seams from separating.
Look at the backing tips if you have any questions about preparing your backing.
3. Ship me your quilt.
Please include the following:
Quilt top
Backing fabric - don’t forget those 4 extra inches on all sides!
Binding fabric (optional)
Place all items in a plastic bag before placing in shipping box. We recommend mailing with USPS Priority. Flat Rate Priority boxes are free at any US Post Office. It is best to obtain a tracking number when shipping your quilt.
4. Quilt arrives at Guided Star Quilting!
I will text you as soon as I receive your quilt and put you on my calendar. I will be in touch to discuss the details about your quilt and will let you know an approximate date of completion.
5. Quilt is completed and on its way home.
Happy Day! I’ll take a picture of your quilt and text you that it is completed. I will also send you an invoice in Paypal and as soon as I receive payment, your quilt will be on its way home! Once it is shipped, I will send you tracking information.
